About the Company

Father and son, John and Chris Scott joined forces to form The Morton Scott Pub Company in 2003. With both having a wealth of experience in all aspects of hospitality from across the world they thought it was time to put this passion to good use.

The White Hart was the first pub for The Morton Scott Pub Company and with the help of family members, friends, long hours and hard work, Chris and John transformed The White Hart into a thriving business. On the back of this success, within 12 months the second bar was added, Walkers of Whitehall, located between Trafalgar Square and Downing Street.

The third pub, The Marquis, was added to the family in June 2007 after it had been closed for nearly 2 years. With an extensive investment this pub has become another success story for the company. Recently rated in the top 30 pubs to visit in London by Trip Advisor.

The latest in the group is The Sun Tavern on Long Acre which has been part of the team since 2011 and is going from strength to strength.

Walkers of Whitehall was sold on in 2016.

Chris and John are passionate about the business and are strong believers in the institution that is the Great British Pub.

Each pub within The Morton Scott Pub Company has its own personality and the Managers are encouraged to embrace this and add flair and fun to the business.

“We feel very fortunate to have 3 fantastic bars all located in such an iconic part of the world as Covent Garden, All geographically within a 15min walk. We have our very own pub crawl”.

“London is not so much a big city, more many small villages joined together and we want to be the best Pub in the village”.
